Today, Coolblue expands its infrastructure beyond the German border. The e-commerce company starts in the Düsseldorf area with the expansion of its own delivery network, installation services, bike network, and stores.

Pieter Zwart, Coolblue founder, explains: “Starting today, we offer the Coolblue proposition to customers in the area around Düsseldorf. We start with the delivery and installation of white goods. Soon, more product types and services will follow. We deliver as many orders of small products by bike as possible. And yes, a physical store will follow in the near future. That way, we are going to make customers in and around Düsseldorf very happy.”

As of today, customers in the Düsseldorf area can order white goods via the Coolblue website and app. These orders are delivered and installed the next day from the Tilburg warehouse by real Coolbluers.

Pieter Zwart, Coolblue founder: “Our step across the German border is a milestone for all 5,000 Coolbluers. These last few months, we have been working very hard on expanding our infrastructure to Germany. This is more than hiring and onboarding German Coolbluers: it also involves creating customer-centric product journeys and the design for our blue box, paper shipping bag, vans, and bikes.”

During the year, Coolblue will continue to expand its own infrastructure by adding more services and product groups to its German website and app, rolling out its own bike delivery network, and opening a physical store in the Düsseldorf area.
